Iron Pour: SCAEA Conference

Finished off the South Carolina Art Education Association (SCAEA) conference with an Iron Pour.  Sculpture students had two part molds and ran the pour as a morning workshop for SCAEA  members assisting them with making scratch mold molds.

  1. Ah, yes. Iron is my favorite metal. Nice to see you having some great fun by melting scrap in a small cupola. This is the fastest and cheapest way to melt Iron. Period.

Make good molds. Melt good metal. Pour it hot and get wonderful results.

There are only 2 kinds of people in this world: Those who run away from molten metal, and, those who run towards molten metal.

    Carry on my friend!
